Fabulous Fungus 11 October to 16 November

A fabulous opportunity to see these exquisite models of a vast variety of fungus. The exhibition is accompanied by a schools exhibition and continues throughout the Centre.

Trees Please! 22 November to 31 December

Orla Brady made her mark on the Forest last year with a stunning exhibiton of collected artifacts and ephemera. Recently voted best newcomer with the prestigious 'Coastal Creatives' group of artists, Orla is back with an exhibition based on forest trees. Her grahic style, eye for detail and artistic flair have made her a talent to watch.

6 OCTOBER Boldre: Discovering a New Forest Parish. Georgina Babey will describe her involvement in the Recording Boldre Parish oral history and local history project - the first of its kind in the Forest - in which parishioners memories were recorded for posterity and their family photographs exhibited in the village hall.

13 OCTOBER Airfields of the New Forest.  Alan Brown talks about a 50 year period of flying activities in the New Forest from 1910 - 1950, looking at their development from flying school to Wartime use.

20 OCTOBER Through the Windows. Angela Trend talks about the Victorian windows of St Michael and All Angels Church, Lyndhurst.

27 OCTOBER Well Seasoned in the New Forest.  Sarah Green, New Forest Marque officer, talks about New Forest Products, farmers markets and local producers.

Linked Walk and Talk

3 NOVEMBER Fungi Talk.  Simon Moore, Keeper of Natural Sciences with HCCMAS, takes a look at fungi found at this time of the year in our Forest.

SATURDAY 8 NOVEMBER *2.00 - 4.00pm Forest Fungi Foray.  Simon Moore leads a walk to discover fungi growing in our Forest.  *the afternoon walk is fully subscribed so an extra walk from 11am - 1pm has been arranged.  Please contact the Centre if you wish to book.
