NEW for 2010!
At the heart of the New Forest Centre Museum is an oak tree so big that you can walk through it.
Our new Family Fun Tree interactive display that was funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by Ineos and the National Park Authority, is now open to the public. It is the result of months of imaginative planning and weeks of careful construction and aims to help bring the Forest to life for both young and old.

Lift the flaps on the tree and discover what creepy crawlies live there, find out which animals are owned by the commoners, and match the animal with its tracks and with its poo!
Development Education Officer, Suzie Moore says ‘Having the Tree in the Museum is really going to help people to understand the Forest by teaching them about its natural and social history in a fun and easy to understand way”
The Tree forms part of the Centre's Museum displays. Normal admission charges apply. Free to under 16s.
